Security Guard Training

At DOGS Security we believe that training is crucial for security guards to perform their appointed duties properly and safely. We make sure that our staff are trained regularly so that their skills stay polished. All DOGS employees must attend a minimum of BST at our recommended academy ELITE SECURITY TRAINING ACADEMY.

BST (Basic Security Training): All security personnel are required to know the following:

• Roles of a Security Guard
• Phonetic Alphabet
• 10-4 Codes
• Report Writing
• Observation Skills
• Basic Escort and Release Tactics
• Building Evacuation Procedures
• Trespass Act
• Powers of Arrest
• Site Safety
• Fire Watch

PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics): This Course is mandatory for some positions

The PPCT Program provides a system that will allow you to control a subject with as little as 2 pounds of pressure. Using these techniques on the subjects head and neck will control the subject regardless of size, weight and sex. These techniques have been proven through extensive medical research.

Use of Force Human Factors

This course will teach students how to determine their stress levels and how to improve how they deal with their stress in intense situations. PPCT will teach the students the appropriate levels of force that are used and the legal amount of force to control a subject.

First Aid and CPR: Our guards are training in First Aid and CPR which is trained by the Red Cross. The training Consists of

• First Aid for Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest
• Head & Spine Injuries
